Hallmarking

I am registered with the Edinburgh Assay Office, based in the historic Scottish capital. In accordance with the UK Hallmarking Act 1973, all my silver jewellery weighing over 7.78 grams is hallmarked to guarantee its authenticity and precious metal purity.

This hallmark is your assurance that each piece of jewellery meets the highest standards of quality. Although some of my jewellery weighs less than legal weight limit, rest assured that all my silver jewellery is made with the same 100% recycled sterling silver.

When a piece of my silver jewellery requires a hallmark it is submitted to Edinburgh to be “assayed”. The Assay Office check the purity of the metal and apply a hallmark as confirmation.

A ‘925’ stamp can be applied by anyone to any metal, however a hallmark shows it has been verified by an independent body.

My personal maker’s mark is my initials EG in a stylised shield.

Sustainable Metals

The precious metals I use to make your jewellery are 100% recycled.

Mining procedures are catastrophic for the Earth, but I love working with precious metals. Using recycled metals - refining metal that has already been mined - helps solve the dilemma because they have a lower ethical and environmental impact. Once refined, there is no difference: recycled precious metals look and feel identical to those which are newly mined.

Choosing to buy recycled metals means you can contribute to helping the Earth by making a more responsible choice, without compromising on quality.

Sterling Silver

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love silver. I use sterling silver for all my creations, preferring to melt and work the metal myself.

Silver has always been viewed as second to gold but prices are climbing high as we enter 2026. It is finally time for silver to be recognised as the beautiful, precious metal it is.

Solid Gold

Any gold accents on my jewellery are made from solid gold, not a coating that will wear or discolour in time. Adding touches of gold makes the piece feel extra special.

Although I only use a small detail of gold on my Ancient Goddess range, I choose to have these pieces hallmarked so you can be assured you are buying genuine gold.

New for 2026

Stainless Steel

Whilst not a precious metal, there is a cold beauty in steel. What it lacks in value it makes up for in qualities. Steel is hypoallergenic and incredibly durable, making it an easy choice for everyday wear.

Ornate steel pendants are designed and made by my partner, Phil.
