Frequently Asked Questions

I previously ran Imi and the Deer, selling my own silver and gold nature-inspired jewellery before launching Ornate Alchemy. My work has been continually evolving, but I have kept my popular Ancient Goddess design and incorporated it into my new venture.

I currently accept most credit and debit cards. Other payment options will follow in due course.

Unfortunately, being a very small business, I’m unable to offer exchanges. If you would prefer a different item then you need to return the original item for a refund and purchase the new item separately.
To make this process run as smoothly as possible I’d be happy to reserve the new item for you to purchase - just let me know during the returns process.
Please refer to the returns policy for full details. Further information regarding sales, delivery and returns can be found on their respective pages or in the terms and conditions.
-
You can reach me anytime via the contact page. I aim to respond quickly - usually within one business day - but please remember I am just one person!

Whilst I have made custom and bespoke pieces in the past, I am no longer accepting requests as I focus on developing my own work.
Thank you for your understanding.

The stones and crystals are mostly from small local suppliers or lapidaries. This ensures I am happy with both the origins of the stones and the quality of what I am buying.
As products of the earth, no stone or crystal will look 100% perfect. You can expect small blemished, nicks, inclusions etc which are all natural and make up the character of the crystal. They do not impact the structural integrity of the crystal or stone. Please check product descriptions and photographs carefully as any particular details will be highlighted there.

You will find three main metals for sale on Ornate Alchemy: silver, gold and steel.
I make all my jewellery from sterling silver (925).
Any gold detailing on mixed metal jewellery is solid gold. I do not use gold-fill, plating or vermeil. You can find the exact colour and carat of gold used on individual listings.
Precious metals - silver and gold - are 100% recycled and sourced from a reputable UK supplier.
Steel wire pendants are made by my partner and are made from 316 surgical stainless steel which is hypoallergenic.
